Verena Kitowski is fascinated by the power that brands have on society. After graduation from Lund University in Sweden, Verena decided to dedicate her career to marketing truly sustainable products that can help shape a better world. Before joining Fairphone in Amsterdam, she was part of the founding team of the electric car company Uniti. Currently Fairphone’s Customer Journey Lead, Verena is responsible for lifecycle marketing and customer retention - both aiming to support customers in using their products longer. This is one of Fairphone’s focus areas for impact and a unique way of demonstrating how commercial and impact strategies can nurture each other.
