Laurence holds a Degree in Public Law, a Master from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (“SciencesPo”) and a Master in Political Science. She started her career at the Center of political research of Sciences Po, before joining the Louis Harris Poll Institute in 1985 and being appointed CEO as soon as 1986. In 1990, she was appointed CEO of Ifop and then took a majority stake in the company. She sold it in 2016 and joined Citi in October 2018 as Chairwoman France. Laurence was Head of Medef (French business confederation), completing two mandates from 2005 to 2013. She was also member of the French Economic, Social and Environmental Council. Laurence Parisot joined the Board of Directors of several important French companies: Pathé, Eurodisney, Havas, Coface, Michelin, BNP Paribas and EDF. In addition, she hosted a radio program on Europe 1 from 2013 to 2015. She is currently member of the Board of Directors of Fives. She is also Vice President of the Fondation Nationale des Sciences Politiques (Sciences Po) and Vice President of LFDA (La Fondation du Droit Animal, Ethique et Sciences). She is member of the board of Paris Europlace. Laurence is a former lawyer of the Paris Bar.
