Charlie Beckett is a professor in the Department of Media and Communications at the LSE. He is the founding director of Polis, the LSE's international journalism think-tank. He is currently leading the Polis/LSE JournalismAI project that works with newsrooms around the world to explore the opportunities and risks of using AI for journalism. Before joining the LSE in 2006 he was an award-winning film-maker and editor at the BBC and ITN's Channel 4 News
