Marcel van Loo has over 30 years’ experience in professional services, 10 of which have been outside his home country of The Netherlands - most notably on engagements in Brussels, the UK and US, where he broadened his global experience. As Regional Managing Partner for Europe West and member of the EMEIA Executive Board, Marcel serves clients across various industries in the European single market alongside fifteen African countries. He leads the deployment of EY talent, skills and competencies seamlessly across borders in what is EY’s biggest region with ~38.000 EY people. Marcel is a passionate advocate of DE&I, personally taking on the role of DE&I Partner Sponsor in the Region and maintaining Talent as the Region’s top priority. He is also a member of EY’s Global DE&I Steering Committee. Previously leading EY’s Europe West Region, he led EY’s EMEIA Financial Services business, overseeing the firm’s Financial Services portfolio across Europe. He also served as Country Managing Partner in the Netherlands and has held several other leadership positions, including EMEIA ‘s Banking & Capital Markets Leader.
