Prior to joining Arianespace, Steven Rutgers was Vice President of Sales for the Internet of Things (IoT) satellite operator company Hiber.
For over 2 decades Steven Rutgers has been building, leading and selling satellite services in Europe; MEA, and Asia.
Steven Rutgers began his career in the space industry 20 years ago as an account and international market manager for Xantic, Inmarsat's distribution company in the Netherlands. His career then took him to Hong Kong, Dubai, and Singapore, working for Inmarsat, the Geo stationary satellite operator. Steven closed deals with customers in sectors such as Government, Defence, O&G, Telecoms, Fisheries, Integrators and others.
Steven is specialized in building high performing teams in different cultures, using consultative sales and SaaS Sales methodologies. He is a graduate of the International School of Economics and Management in Rotterdam.
