Sacha Lazimi, CEO and co-founder of Yubo, leads a team of 52, located in Paris (France), London (UK) and Jacksonville (Florida). With his co-founders, Jeremie Aouate and Arthur Patora, they created Yubo, a social media platform that encourages young people to connect and interact with like-minded individuals from around the globe. Under Sacha's leadership, it has acquired more than 45 million users in 2021. Prior to founding Yubo, as 18-year-old mathematics students at Paris Dauphine University, Sacha and Jeremie developed a hyper geolocated group chat app. Together with Arthur, a fellow engineering student at CentraleSupelec, they went on to create a social app that allowed people to interact with a new person each day. After developing these social networking apps, the idea emerged for Yubo, a social media platform enabling young people to socialize and create friendships in the digital world, the same way they would in real life. Shortly after, they met the brothers Haïat, founders of YOOBIC, who saw the platform's potential and offered them office space in London to develop the app further. The trio accepted the offer and took a gap year, before returning to Paris to graduate. Yubo launched in October 2015.
