Erwin Penfornis is the Vice President of the Hydrogen Energy World Business Line of Air Liquide and Co-Secretary of the Hydrogen Council. A seasoned executive with more than 20 years of experience with the company, Erwin has gained a wide range of experience with the Group’s activities, overseeing R&D for clean energy from an early stage, large-scale commercial projects dedicated to Energy and Industrial markets in Europe, Asia and Middle East, as well as International marketing and strategy for the Group. Prior to his current role, he held positions of Chief Operating Officer and Vice President, Asia-Pacific of the Air Liquide Hydrogen Energy activity. In 2017, he was particularly involved in the creation and development of the Hydrogen Council with major industry leaders and structuring other consortiums in Europe, US, and Asia. As leader of Air Liquide’s Hydrogen Energy World Business Line, based in Paris, he is in charge of developing internationally the Group’s Hydrogen Energy activities (production, supply chain and mobility markets).
