Pierre Alliez

Pierre Alliez is Senior Researcher, Team Leader and scientific head of the Inria-DFKI partnership at Inria. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science in 2000 from Telecom ParisTech. He has authored a series of scientific publications and several book chapters on topics commonly referred to as geometry processing. He was awarded in 2005 the EUROGRAPHICS young researcher award for his contributions to computer graphics and geometry processing. He is an Associate Editor of the Computational Geometry Algorithms Library (http://www.cgal.org), and the Editor in Chief of the Computer Graphics Forum. He was awarded in 2011-2015 an ERC Consolidator Grant on robust geometry processing, and in 2017-2018 an ERC Proof of Concept Grant from the European Research Council. His current research focuses on 3D geometric modeling and AI methods for geometry processing.
