Dr. Lindsay Sarah Krasnoff is a historian, writer, speaker, and consultant expert in sports diplomacy whose work has appeared with CNN International, The Athletic, The Washington Post, The New Yorker, and others. Author of Basketball Empire: France and the Making of a Global NBA and WNBA (Bloomsbury, 2023), Views From the Embassy: The Role of the U.S. Diplomatic Community in France, 1914 (2014), The Making of Les Bleus: Sport in France (Lexington Books 2013), and director of the FranceAndUS sports campaign, she lectures on sports diplomacy at the Robert Preston Tisch Institute for Global Sport, New York University. Previously she co-directed the SOAS University of London “Basketball Diplomacy in Africa” project, worked for the U.S. Department of State’s Office of the Historian, and taught at The George Washington University, Foreign Service Institute, SOAS University of London, and City University of New York.
