Co-founder & CEO
Driven by the mission to automate histopathology, Maria Sievert co-founded the Munich-based medtech, inveox, in 2017. Maria shares the CEO title with her business partner, co-founder and husband, Dominik Sievert. Before launching inveox, Maria was a project manager at BMW Group in the New Digital Data and Business Models division. A graduate of the Technical University of Munich (TUM), Maria has a Master’s degree in management with a specialization in entrepreneurship and earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in civil engineering. During her studies, she also participated in a student exchange at the University of Arkansas in the United States. Under Maria and Dominik’s leadership, inveox has won multiple awards including Top 50 Start-ups 2017 from Für Gründer, the "Golden Pretzel" at Bits & Pretzels 2018 and the 2019 EIT Health Award and has been a member of the World Economic Forum since 2019. As a successful entrepreneur and innovator in the medtech industry, Maria has established her presence as a role model for female founders. Over the last years, she was selected as one of the best innovators under 35 by Technology Review, was named one of the “25 Women Whose Inventions Change Our Lives” by Edition F magazine and was a finalist for the Woman Leadership in Entrepreneurship Award by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology. In addition to her advocacy for female leadership, Maria is a member of the TUM School of Management Advisory Board and has maintained a close relationship with the university as an UnternehmerTUM Manage&More alumna.
