Anna Stewart is a CNN reporter based in the network's London bureau, covering topics relating to international business, technology, politics and the British Royal Family. Stewart is the presenter of Decoded, deciphering the latest in cutting-edge technology, from around the world, and often from within the metaverse. Stewart is also the host of CNN's European business show: Marketplace Europe, a monthly programme that showcases business innovation and technology, with interviews from some of the biggest names in business. Stewart reports daily on the latest global economic and financial news for CNN's flagship business programmes: First Move with Julia Chatterley and Quest Means Business. She has interviewed a breadth of guests from the CEOs of businesses including Bank of America, Volkswagen and Airbus, to sport stars like Usain Bolt. She played a pivotal role in CNN's coverage of Brexit, with in-depth reporting across the UK, culminating in the General Election of 2019 where she broke down the results on the magic wall at the CNN Center in Atlanta. Stewart covers news relating to the British Royal Family, most recently covering the death of Queen Elizabeth II, from the first news of her ill health through to the State Funeral. In the past Stewart has been an integral part of CNN's coverage of the death of Prince Philip, the Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan, and their departure from royal duties. Stewart previously worked at CNBC. She studied English Literature at the University of Oxford where she was awarded an academic scholarship and the prestigious Gibbs price for academic excellence.
